The key is to only have one accenting item. Thas it.

Loving the new decorative collar look. Currently hoarding a few DIY collar projects myself. Some involve just collar, no shirt (gaasssp).

I always giggle a bit when I post about fashion because I definitely know of a handful of male friends that check out my blog. Sorry fellas. If you’re gonna follow me, you’re gonna have to follow ALL of me (take that as you will). With spring approaching, I know this next season is all about floral prints. Floral-printed dresses, jackets, scarves, jeans, onesies. Most of the time, it’s a bit too cutesie for my taste. Love them on others, but when it comes to me I’m a bit “naw son” about it. But for some reason, I don’t have that same reservation when it comes to floral-printed denim shorts. I think with a basic top and the right accessories, they’re definitely a look I’ll be attempting this spring.

“Hi, you wear that sweater very well” is what I anticipate what will be said to me when I’m rocking this new purchase from the Painted Bird, one of my favorite vintage shops in SF’s Mission District. Not what you’d expect me to be swooning over, I know. But anyone that knows me knows that I’m a die-hard Laker fan. And if you can’t tell from this non-iPhone4 quality photo, that knit sweater consists of purp n yellow purp n yellow purp n yellow along with some awesome nerdalert designs. Since I know you were wondering, YES those are percent signs. I can’t wait to wear this to the jealous haters’ Laker bashing party bar to watch the game. Lake Show represent!
ShoeMint. What is it?!? Based on paper, I can tell you it’s a brand designed by stylist Nicole Chavez with Rachel Bilson and produced with Steve Madden. Supposedly, after signing up, you take a style quiz and, each month, a new collection of shoes are received in your online showroom that you can either pick or pass. What does this mean?!? Not quite sure. Online showroom?? Pick or pass?? Is there some sort of shoe nazi that forces me to recite my credit card number aloud every month for a new pair of wedges? Awesome. Now I’m intrigued. Regardless, I’ll give it a shot. Plus, it helps that Rachel Bilson goes hard (#funnyordievideo). You can sign up right here.

She’s so beautiful. Worth dying for.

Dug up this old photo of Alexa Chung and, I can confidently say, that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of her where I haven’t liked what she was wearing. The photo above attests to that.

I’ve become iffy about the Navajo style after its massive over-exploition in the most recent spring/fall lines, but I absolutely adore these Isabel Marant Navajo stretch-denim, cropped skinny jeans. Sold out & spensee, but fab nonetheless.

Last week I felt inspired to post about studs and spikes and how much I love them on clothes and other things and how much I envy my friends who have the luxury of studding their make-believe backpacks at work. If you don’t believe me, peep here. Are you sorry for calling me a weirdo liar? I forgive you. Well anyway, I’m regretful that I didn’t get to post the awesomeness below as a DIY idea. Do you see what I see? UNDERNEATH THE POCKETS, people. So perfectly “subtle.”
