Lee Fields - Faithful Man (Yours Truly Session recorded at SXSW 2012)
It’s rare you get to hear genuine soul music these days. But thanks to the mini-soul revival that’s been happening these past few years (not hating, I love it), artists that have been around since the 60’s, like Fields, are given the chance to record new albums (though I must admit, I like the idea of a new Womack album, buuut in his first single he doesn’t sound so hot). In Fields’ case, he was able to start a new chapter of his career. And this Yours Truly rendition of “Faithful Man” makes me incredibly appreciative of his efforts. The sound quality is incredible and this is just all-around amazing.

Grimes - Genesis (Yours Truly Session)
I’ve previously posted this new song from Grimes’ upcoming album Visions (release date 2/21) right here. It’s really really good. No joke. Really really. But watch this video of her performing the song live. Then tell me she’s not an impressive talent. I dare you.
